Call for Climate Education Specialist

The Environmental Solutions Initiative is looking to hire a Climate Education Specialist for a part-time contract. The responsibilities of the role are to develop Educator Guides for each episode of the Today I Learned: Climate podcast (tilclimate.mit.edu), to facilitate the use of the podcast in U.S. high school and college classrooms, and to develop and execute pathways for Educator Guides to be incorporated into classrooms across a diverse set of U.S. regions.

The ideal candidate is a current or former educator with a background in environmental or climate change studies, who is invested in making information about climate change relevant, useful and approachable to classrooms across the country; who has excellent communication skills; and who has familiarity with federal science standards and/or working with standards-aligned curriculum.

This is a paid, part-time contract position with an hourly rate of $50-60 per hour, commensurate with experience.
