Cecelia is an ESI Program Intern for the spring and summer of 2019. Originally from central Massachusetts, Cecelia is a second-year student at Northeastern University and is majoring in Environmental Studies with a minor in Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. She spent the 2017-2018 academic year working with Environment Massachusetts on statewide clean energy legislation, then traveled to Switzerland, where she spent the summer studying and conducting research at the United Nations in Geneva. In the fall of 2018, Cecelia worked for Our Climate to further carbon pricing legislation in the state of Massachusetts. Cecelia is interested in environmental politics and policy, environmental justice, and sustainable development. Outside of school, Cecelia spends as much time as she can outdoors and enjoys cooking, hiking and swimming.
