Iris M. Crawford is a research assistant at the Environmental Solutions Initiative. She is also a graduate student within MIT’s science writing program where her focus will be reporting on climate policy, equity issues and more. Before MIT, she was an organizer with the California-based Local Clean Energy Alliance and the NAACP’s Environmental and Climate Justice Program. Through grassroots organizing, she has had the opportunity to help strengthen the resilience and livability of frontline communities and hopes to continue doing so through her reporting.
