Rachel Fritts is a science writing fellow at the Environmental Solutions Initiative. During the fall semester of 2019, she will be contributing to ESI’s science communication efforts including the TILclimate podcast and the Climate Portal. Rachel is also a member of MIT’s Graduate Program in Science Writing class of 2020, where she is honing her skills as an environmental journalist and science communicator. Rachel has reported on the environment for several different outlets including Pacific Standard, Science Magazine, Mongabay, and the PBS YouTube channel Hot Mess. She holds a master’s in marine environmental management from the University of York (2016) and a B.A. in biology from Grinnell College (2014).
