ESI Plastics & the Environment Program workshops convene scientists from around the world alongside members of government, industry, and the non-profit sector. These events provide specialists in plastic pollution and solutions with opportunities to network with their peers; review and discuss the latest research and technological developments; and engage directly with the corporate, policy and advocacy officials who are best positioned to bring scientific advances to bear in the real world.

The most recent ESI-PEP workshop, “Plastics & the Environment: Science Meets Public Policy,” was held in June 2020. Video from that workshop is available to partners and interested members of the public.

Previous ESI-PEP workshops included “Modelling Plastics in the Oceans,” in November 2019; and “Microfibers and Microplastics,” in January 2018.
